Enjoying her new exersaucer...

that Nana & Papi bought for her!

Papi, can I share your milkshake?

Spending time with Nana & Papi

Ryleigh & I got to help take my little sister, Alicia, out to GBS last week. My parents met us there & of course were delighted to spend some special time with Ryleigh!

Sitting up

Ryleigh is learning to sit up. She still does lose her balance if she's not careful, but she has been sitting up as of yesterday. It's so much fun to watch her change. She also likes to roll a lot! If I lay her down on her little play mat, she'll be turned around, in the exact opposite direction before I know it. I also have to really be careful that there's nothing around her that she can put into her mouth because she is fascinated with & can pick up even the tiniest little piece of paper that is on the floor (this is especially true in my scrapbook room!) Here are some of the pictures I snapped of her today. Charity Tucker (who spent the night with us while her parents took the young people on a retreat) was making her laugh by jumping up & and down & making funny noises.

More hats

The "little British lass" hat
The "this is Daddy's favorite" hat

The "I look like a biker" hat

The "I hate wearing this" hat

The "I'm going fishing with Daddy" hat

Okay, enough with the pictures, Mom. I'm ready for something more interesting, like maybe trying to roll off the chair!

Okay, one more...

The "I look like Laura Ingalls" hat

My little model

I have this idea for a mini album about Ryleigh's hats. But, in order to properly showcase all of her hats, I needed to do a photo shoot with her. Here are the results...

The "mob cap that's too big" hat
The "don't I look like a tomboy?" hat

The "looks like I have Dumbo ears" hat

The "still plenty of room" hat

The "this one doesn't have much stretch" hat

Getting my courage up...

to start blogging again. Trying to get over my extreme paranoia that people I know will read it & think that I'm crazy!
