I'm so tired of being pregnant that I decided to let Jeff carry this one for awhile! ;-)
(Actually - Jeff, Brent & Shane were playing 'Monkey in the Middle' with Ryleigh & Jeff stuck the ball under his shirt to "hide" it from her. I couldn't resist snapping this picture!)

Bits & Pieces

I know I've been horribly neglectful of my blog, so I decided to post a few bits & pieces of our everyday lives for the past month.

Dealing with never-ending piles of laundry.
Decorating for Spring.

Entertaining...

...and being entertained by our constantly-changing little boy!

Watching Ryleigh play.

Trying to fix the washing machine that decided to quit during revival (of all times!).

Catching Grant's funny expressions on camera!

Working on the flowers for Ana's wedding while visiting with my sisters.

More entertaining...

Laughing at the cute things he's picking up.

Doing MORE laundry.

Quality time with my sewing machine.

Lots of books read every day!

I'm always in the middle of reading a good book!

This is something else that NEVER ends!

Ryleigh's constantly changing moods.

Riding the bus to Bus Convention in Indiana.

Grant is 1 today!

Just wanted to wish Grant a Happy First Birthday! Since we're in the middle of our Spring revival, we're going to be celebrating his birthday next week. So... more pictures will be coming later.

What next??

Ryleigh & I had the following conversation while I was fixing her lunch:

Ryleigh: "Know what, Mommy?"

Me: "What, Ryleigh?"

Ryleigh: "I really love you... even when you spank me!"

That was enough to melt this mommy's heart. It's a good thing I had those sweet words still ringing in my ears later when I discovered that she had found my scissors & cut holes in the sheets on our bed while she was supposed to be taking a nap. Ahhh!!!

Finished Object Friday

Ryleigh has always been tall for her age & it seems like her growth is just not slowing down anytime soon. Therefore, I always struggle to find skirts that fit her correctly. If I find one that's long enough, the waist is usually way too big. So... I decided that I would try to make her some skirts. They were super easy & lots of fun to make!

Since this one was my first one & it was a little more complicated, it took me awhile to finish it.

This one actually only took me an hour or two to whip up. Then, it just seemed like there was a little too much yellow, so I spent a little time this morning making the yo-yo flowers to put on it. I think it turned out pretty cute & served to "break up" all that yellow.

A little closer....
