Finished Object Friday

I love to use my scrapbook supplies to make things for our home. Here are the most recent things I have made.
I found this cool frame at the thrift store awhile ago. I had this great idea to spray paint it black & use it as a frame around a wooden letter "S" (also spray painted black). However, I haven't been able to find an "S", yet, due to the fact that both of the nearest Walmarts are out of them.
Since I needed it right away because I already had a hole in the wall where I was going to hang it as part of my collage of photo frames on the wall (I plan to post a picture of that soon), I had to come up with something on the fly. And now I kinda like it there, so it might stay that way for awhile....

I bought these chipboard letters awhile ago, but the whole word was connected. In the move (or maybe Ryleigh got ahold of them - not sure which), they got bent & started to separate. So... in an effort to salvage them, I came up with this little sign for my dining room.

I actually did this before we moved, but I don't know if I posted it here or not. Just a dollar store frame I had on hand & a few scraps. It reads "Home Sweet Home".

These are some fantastic ideas. I love that you used supplies you already had and just made the decor have that personalized touch. My kind of style. I'm stopping by from Tip Junkie and saw your home decor tip and just had to check it out!
