I haven't done anything crafty since before Christmas, so when I saw this cute idea in the February issue of Creating Keepsakes, I was itching to give it a try. It turned out even cuter than I thought it would! I'm not normally one to decorate for Valentine's Day, but I really liked this little project. I think I'll hang it in Ryleigh's room when I'm done using it for this season.

Very cute! I don't do much Valentine's decorating either. It flies by so fast!

Your project turned out beautiful. Are the instructions in the magazine pictured?
Didn't you just love the cover of Living? Yum!

You do such cute things!! I'm sure your daughter will love having that in her room!
Cute, cute!
I bought some old shutters at a garage sale and I thought I'd age them, but I have no idea how!!! How do you make them look like the one your sweet little hanger is on?
You've been tagged! Check out my blog to play along :)
Liz, I don't know what to tell you. This shutter is naturally aged - it's the way I got it. But, I've heard of other people aging things by sanding the edges & then covering the whole thing with a layer or two of stain. Personally, I would just keep sanding & staining until I got the look I wanted. Anyhow...hope that helps!
SUPER CUTEST!!!
